Long before My Real Estate Store, we were simply Nicole and Dwayne—and our story began in one of the most unexpected places: an elevator in New Castle County, Delaware.
That chance meeting many years ago became the beginning of a life together—raising a family, navigating careers and figuring out what the next chapter would look like.
Our professional paths gave us experience across banking, mortgages, real estate and business. Eventually, those experiences came together, and Dwayne encouraged Nicole to get her real estate license. What began as a new career chapter grew into something neither of us quite expected.
One conversation became a shared direction.
When Dwayne first suggested real estate, Nicole wasn’t convinced. She felt real estate agents were sometimes viewed like used-car salespeople—more focused on making the sale than helping people understand the decision they were making.
That conversation shaped the way we approach real estate today.
Real estate gave us a way to bring together what we had learned over the years: listening carefully, explaining complicated decisions clearly and helping people move forward with confidence.
That approach eventually became the foundation for My Real Estate Store—and for the philosophy behind the words, “We Make Real Estate Clear.”
It was to make it feel clearer.
The people you see online are the people you meet in real life.
Somewhere along the way, we started sharing the funny parts too—the marriage moments, the everyday conversations and the things that happen when your spouse is also the person sitting across from you at work.
The funny videos you enjoy are simply another part of our story: two people who have spent decades together, choose each other every day, still enjoy each other and happen to help people make some very important real estate decisions along the way.
